Why We Built This Site
Texas permits public access to many court dockets and files, yet Midland County assigns different work to different offices. The District Clerk handles district felony, civil, and family records. The County Clerk maintains County Court and County Courts at Law material, including misdemeanor and probate files. Court administrators manage settings, while re:SearchTX offers a separate statewide search layer. The site connects those roles without treating a calendar entry, a case index, and a certified file as the same thing.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how Midland County criminal docket searches and civil docket searches differ
- Court settings: how to read the court dates published by individual Midland courts
- Case lookups: how to use the county portal or re:SearchTX through the case lookup process
- Copies: how to direct a court record search and certified-copy request to the proper clerk
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no affiliation to a Texas court, clerk, or government agency. Its limits are firm:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
An official or certified docket or court record must come from the clerk or court that keeps the original. This resource can identify that office but cannot issue the document.
Search Partners
Outside providers operate search boxes that appear on some pages. Each provider controls its service, prices, results, and data practices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports site operations. We do not set the charge or decide what the provider returns.
